What to know: Today is National Grief Awareness Day, when we’re encouraged to acknowledge and tend to our grief as individuals and as a community. Whether a loved one’s death, a layoff, or a house fire, we all experience loss. Rev. Holly Lux-Sullivan invites us to be brave enough to open up about our pain and, in the process, plumb the untold depths of our love.

Grief in Older Life: Knowing Pain, Living Joy

What to know: The longer we live, the more grief we experience, from leaving our homes of decades to changes in physical or cognitive ability and deaths of loved ones. We’ll reflect on our losses to help us deepen our everyday joy.
